Port Configuration
Use the Port Configuration menus to configure any port on the
switch.

Default
Description
Allows you to disable a port du e to
abnormal behavior, and then re-enable it
after the problem has been resolved. You
may also disable a port for security reasons.
Used to set the duplex mode to full duplex
Full-Duplex
or auto-negotiation. The d efault for all ports
is to force full-duplex.
Used to enable or disable flow control.
(IEEE 802.3x is used for full d uplex.) Flow
contr ol can eliminate frame loss b y
"blocking" traffic from end stations or
segments connected directly to the switch
when its buffer s fill.
