Position a protection cloth on the front
mudguard.
 
CAUTION
Handle the plastic and painted compo-
nents with care and avoid scraping or
damaging them.
Be very careful not to damage the elec-
trical cables.
Partially remove the front part of the fair-
ing (11) and put it on the protection cloth
positioned on the mudguard.
Disconnect the main light connector.
Remove the front part of the fairing com-
pletely.
 
CAUTION
The front fork oil change operation
should be entrusted to your Local
Delear.
Carefully read p. 55 (MAINTENANCE).
Have the front fork oil changed after the
first 5,000 mi (8,000 km) and successively
every 12,500 mi (20,000 km).
Every 5,000 mi (8,000 km), carry out the
following checking operations:
Apply the front brake lever and push up
and down on the handlebar repeatedly,
pushing the fork up and down.
The fork must move smoothly and easily,
there must be no trace of oil on the fork
tubes.
Check the torque of all the fasteners on
the front fork and inspect the entire front
fork to make sure that it is in good condi-
tion without leaks or damage. Repeat for
the rear suspension and swinging arm.
 
CAUTION
Do not ride your motorcycle if either
suspension is damaged in any way, see
your Local Delear.
