Installing process flanges

5.2.1

Safety information

SITRANS TDL is classified as a Class 1 laser product. The emitted laser radiation is invisible
(near infrared) and not hazardous to an unprotected eye. SITRANS TDL has warning labels
placed at positions specified in the EN 60825-1:2014-11 norm.

Class 1 - Laser Product
Internal invisible IR laser is a Class I product.
Change of laser class
• The analyzer is classified as a class 1 laser product. The emitted laser light is invisible
• Any changes to the device not described and permitted in the operating instructions
Heat safety
Some metal parts and piping placed near the sensors might be at elevated temperatures
due to high temperature purging - either from steam or from air. To avoid severe burns
these parts must either be isolated or equipped with protective metal sheets. Always use
protective gloves in the vicinity of such hot parts.
Electrical safety
Mounting or unmounting of the device must be performed with the power cord
DISCONNECTED. The power supply must be connected only when the device is fully
adjusted and secured.
