Copying log data

Select the log entries you want to copy.
Use the SHIFT key to select a block of entries. Use the CTRL key
to select multiple, non-adjacent entries.

To copy the entries for pasting into another application,
select Edit => Copy to clipboard.
To copy the entries to the filter window prior to
exporting them, select Edit = > Copy to Filter Window.
Exporting log data
You can export log records from either the main window
(all records) or the filter window.

Select File = > Export.
The Save Main Window dialog box appears.

Select a location. Enter a file name. Click Save.
LogViewer saves the contents of the selected window to a text
file.

Displaying and Hiding Fields

The following figure shows an example of the type of dis-
play you normally see in LogViewer. Log entries sent to the
WatchGuard log state the time stamp, host name, process
name, and the process ID before the log summary. Use the
Preferences dialog box to show or hide columns displayed
in LogViewer. From LogViewer:

Select View = > Preferences. Click the Filter Data tab.

Select the checkboxes of the fields you would like to
display. Clear the checkboxes of those columns you
would like to hide.
