3. Rear Panel and Side Case
VHF/UHF
(except U.S.A., CANADA
version) band antenna
@ UHF band antenna (U.S.A., CANADA version only)
@) ANTENNA connector
Attach an antenna with a low SWR and impedance of
50 ohms.
(213.8 VDC power input connector
Connect the supplied DC power cable to this
connector.
Pay close attention to the polarity. Red is positive
and black is negative.
(3) Fuse holder
Contains a15A
fuse. Do not use a larger fuse as
damage might result to the transceiver.
(4) External speaker jack (SP 1)
When an external speaker is connected to this jack
receiver audio will be heard from the internal and
external speaker.
You can specific which bands receiver audio is
applied to the external speaker. (See page 32 for
additional information on this feature.)
(©) External speaker jack (SP 2)
The speaker should have an impedance of 8 ohms.
The internal speaker is disabled when the external
speaker is attached to this jack.

Press this button to release the panel.
4. LED Display
On when the top
display band can be
controlled.
On when the lower
display band can be
controlled.
