How to fit the grip strap (G-2)
In step 1 on the previous page, hold the
camcorder against your body (@) and pull the
grip strap upward @, ).
For low-position recording (G-3)
The viewfinder can be turned 90 degrees up.
It can be used in either the pushed-down or
pulled-out position.
Notes on recording
* To record from the beginning of the tape, run the
tape for about 15 seconds before recording. This
will avoid missing the starting point when the
tape is played back.
* If POWER is moved during recording, the tape
will stop.
* When moving from indoors to outdoors, or vice
versa, turn STANDBY to STANDBY
and point the
camcorder at a white object for about 10
seconds so that the tone of colors is properly
adjusted.
Note on the standby mode
'f you leave the camcorder in the standby mode for
5 minutes or more, the camcorder will be turned
off automatically. To resume the standby mode,
Turn STANDBY to LOCK once and turn it to
STANDBY again. To start recording, press
START/STOP directly.
Note on light sources
If you are shooting a subject under bright
conditions just after shooting in a dark place, the
picture may not appear in the viewfinder. In this
case, point the camcorder in another direction.
Recording mode
This camcorder records in the SP (standard
play) mode and can play back in the SP and the
LP (long play) modes.
The quality of the playback picture in the LP
mode, however, will not be as good as that in
the SP mode.
Note on PCM recording and playback
PCM recording or playback is not possible with
this camcorder.
The PCM sound recorded or after-recorded with
another video recorder cannot be played back
with this camcorder.
