General
In the General General section, verify the following information:
• Status – displays the connection status of the network. Status
• Connection Type – displays the type of connection Connection Type
interface.
• Physical Address Physical Address – displays the physical address of the
network card used for the network.
• MTU MTU – displays the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU)
indicating the largest packet size permitted for internet
transmissions:
– Automatic Automatic: sets the MTU (Maximum Transmission
Unit) at 1500.
– Automatic by DHCP Automatic by DHCP: sets the MTU according to the
DHCP connection.
– Manual: allows you to manually set the MTU. Manual

uses a permanent or static IP address
address, provided by Verizon or experienced network
technician.
• Bridge Bridge
In the Bridge
properties, you can configure the various LAN interfaces.
