    Designated use The FieldCheck flow simulation system may only be used for the simulation of sensor signals with a flowmeter of the Endress+Hauser PROline equipment generation. The device is normally installed by service technicians who are familiar with the function and operating method of the equipment.

    4 Operation PROline FieldCheck™ Communication Operation via a personal computer using the “FieldTool™” operating software. 4.5.1 FieldTool™ operating program FieldTool™ is an universal service and configuration software package designed for the PROline measuring devices. The connection is made with a commercial serial cable (9-pole DSUB, 0-Modem) to the underside of FieldCheck.

The first letter matches the block code (i.e. each group in block A has a code starting with an A_ _, the codes of the groups in block B start with a B _ _, etc.). The other two letters are for identifying the group within the respective block.

    PROline FieldCheck™ 9 Appendix 9.3.1 Group SIMULATION In the “SIMULATION” group a flow value is simulated for the connected measuring device. In this way the behaviour of parts of a process or of the entire system can be checked or optimised, without there even being flow in the system.
