To Search Quickly for a Track on a Disc
(Hi-lite Scan)
In accordance with the play mode selected, the tracks
on the disc will be played back for about ten seconds,
beginning from a point about one minute from the start
of the track.
<Disc Scan>
With the unit stopped or playing, press the HI-LITE but-
ton once.
@ Each disc will be scanned in order. During scanning,
the first track of each disc will be played back for ten
seconds, beginning from a point about one minute
from the start of the track. (The "DISC" indicator will
flash.)
<Track Scan>
With the unit stopped or playing, press the HI-LITE but-
ton two times.
@ Each track of each disc will be scanned in order. Dur-
ing scanning, each track of each disc will be played
back for ten seconds, beginning from a point about
one minute from the start of the track. (The "TRACK"
indicator will flash.)
<Program Scan>
During program playback, press the HI-LITE button.
@ Each track of the program will be be scanned in pro-
grammed order. During scanning, each track of the
program will be played back for ten seconds, begin-
ning from a point about one minute from the start
of the track.
<Best Selection Memory Scan>
During best-selection memory playback, press the HI-
LITE button.
@ Each track in the best selection memory will be
scanned. During scanning, each track stored in the
best selection memory will be played back for ten
seconds, beginning from a point about one minute
from the start of the track.
To switch to normal playback:
When you find a track you wish to listen to, press the
PLAY/PAUSE button. The Hi-Lite scan will be canceled
and normal playback will commence. To cancel the Hi-
Lite scan mode, press the stop button.
NOTES:
@ During track scan, the fast forward button can be
used to skip to the next track. (When using the re-
mote control unit, press the search button.)
@ /f the all-track repeat mode is selected, the Hi-Lite
scan will be repeated.
@ Tracks with playing times of less than one minute
(or your alternately selected time) will be played for
ten seconds from the beginning of the track. If a
track's playing time is less than ten seconds, the
entire track will be played.
