Configure the transmission settings.
The transmission start speed, ECM and encrypted transmission can be set.
Select [Transmission Start Speed], [ECM] or [Encrypted Transmission], set each item and
then select [OK].

Check if the destination entry is correct > [Register]
The destination is added to the Address Book.
To add a new address to the One Touch Key, select [Register] and follow the on-screen
instructions to enter the necessary information.

Adding a Destination on One Touch Key (page 2-22)
This is set to change the transmission start speed.
Select the speed from 9,600 bps, 14,400 bps, and 33,600 bps.
NOTE
Normally the default setting should be used.
ECM is a communication mode specified by the ITU-T
(International Telecommunication Union) that retransmits data
when an error occurs. FAX machines that have ECM mode
check for errors as they communicate, preventing distortion of
the image due to noise on the line and other conditions.
This is set when using encrypted transmission to send the
data. Refer to the following for the method for setting
Encrypted Transmission.
