Before connecting the peripheral devices, make sure the power
buttons or switches on the computer and all peripheral devices
are turned off. Then follow these steps to connect the
peripheral devices:
1. If necessary, insert the mouse cable connector into the
mouse port on the back panel.
Although the keyboard and mouse ports appear to be
identical, you cannot use them interchangeably. Be sure
to plug the keyboard and mouse into the correct ports.
2. Insert the keyboard cable connector into the keyboard port
on the back panel.
3. Connect the interface cables of any other peripheral devices
such as a monitor, printer, or modem to the appropriate
ports on the back panel.
4. Connect the power cords for any peripheral devices to
grounded electrical outlets.
5. Plug one end of the computer's power cord into the AC inlet
on the back panel.
6. Plug the other end of the computer's power cord into an
appropriate electrical outlet.
