During route guidance with augmented reality a
camera image with the real traffic scene is shown
on the central display before a turning manoeu-
vre. The camera image includes additional infor-
mation, for example arrows indicating a change of
direction.
If the options are switched on and this additional
information is available, road names and house
numbers are displayed (
page 431).

Route guidance with augmented reality will not be
available in some situations, e.g. in the event of
poor satellite reception or roads that have not
been digitised.
Route guidance with augmented reality is not
available in all countries.

The additional information from the augmen-
ted reality display may be inaccurate and is
not a substitute for observing and assessing
the actual driving situation.
Always keep an eye on the actual traffic

manoeuvres.
