Performing Calibration with Working Standard (only with
option 004)
Note
This procedure is necessary when you use 4286A with option 004.
Measuring the Working Standard Value
Measure the working standard to obtain L S required for LOAD compensation. Specify 51
for
resistor.
1. Prepare the test head and perform OPEN/SHORT/LOAD calibrations for the contact surface
of APC-7 R
connector.
2. Connect xture to the test head and perform OPEN/SHORT compensations. Make sure that
you performed the xture compensation with shorting device for the working standard.
3. Connect the chip resistor for working standard to the xture.
4. Measure L s of the connected chip resistor. We recommend the following conditions for
accurate and robust measurement.

5. Record the measurements.
Calibration with Working Standard
Follow the procedure below.
1. Make sure that you complete the procedure shown above.

3. Perform OPEN/LOAD/SHORT calibration procedures.
The table below lists typical values of the working standars with option 004. The values serves
as reference: use actually obtained results for calibration kit.
