INSPECTION/SETUP
COOLANT
(ANTIFREEZE/SUMMER COOLANT/WATER)
Kubota recommends antifreeze/summer coolant for use in
their engines, which can be purchased in concentrate (and
mixed with 50% demineralized water) or pre-diluted. Refer to
the Kubota engine owner's manual for further details.
WARNING
When adding coolant/antifreeze mix to the
radiator, DO NOT remove the radiator cap
until the unit has completely cooled. The
possibility of hot! coolant exists which can
cause severe burns.
Day-to-day addition of coolant is done from the reserve
tank. When adding coolant to the radiator, DO NOT remove
the radiator cap until the unit has completely cooled. See
Table 9 for engine, radiator, and reserve tank coolant
capacities.
NOTICE
Normally, only the coolant level in the reserve tank
needs to be checked. However, the radiator cap should
be opened once a week to verify that coolant is visible
(full) inside the radiator.
