17 SERVICE WORK ON THE ENGINE

Position oil screen
–
Position the pin wrench through the drilled hole of the screw plug in the opposite
section of the engine case.
–
Push the oil screen all the way into the engine case.

Mount and tighten screw plug

Mount and tighten oil drain plug

Remove screws

Pull oil filter

Completely drain the engine oil.
–
Thoroughly clean the parts and sealing surfaces.

– Lay the motorcycle on its side and fill the oil filter housing to about ⅓ full with
engine oil.
–
Fill the oil filter with engine oil and position the oil filter in the housing.
–
Oil the O-ring of the oil filter cover and mount it together with oil filter cover
–
Mount and tighten the screws.

Stand the motorcycle upright.

Remove filler plug
with engine oil.

Too little engine oil or poor-quality engine oil will result in premature wear
of the engine.

Mount and tighten the filler plug together with the O-ring.
