110 Seats and stowing
Folding the rear seat backrest back
* NOTE Damage to the seat belt
The seat belt could become trapped and thus
damaged when folding back the seat back‐
rest.
Make sure that the seat belt is not trap‐
#
ped when folding back the seat back‐
rest.
Vehicles without a memory function:
#
Move the driver's or front passenger seat for‐
wards, if necessary.
Vehicles with a memory function: If one or
#
more parts of the seat backrest in the rear
passenger compartment are folded back, the
corresponding front seat will automatically
return to the most recent original position.
Fold corresponding seat backrest
#
until it engages.
Left and right seat backrests: if the seat
backrest is not engaged and locked, this will
be shown on the multifunction display on the
instrument cluster.
Center seat backrest: if the seat backrest is
not engaged and locked, red lock verification
indicator

will be visible.
Locking the release catch of the center rear
seat backrest
Requirements:
The left and center seat backrests are
R
engaged and joined together.
You can lock the center seat backrest release
catch if you want to secure the trunk against
unauthorized access. The center seat backrest
can then be folded forwards only together with
the left seat backrest.
