Project

This section describes how to create a project for using the Ladder Monitor.

Type of project

The following projects supports the functions related to the Ladder Monitor. Any controller you wish to
be a target of the Ladder Monitor must be created in the same project as the HMI that will execute the
Ladder Monitor.

*1. Ladder Monitor cannot be used on projects in which project files are protected with a password.

Creating as a New Project

Create a new project after checking if the versions of the controller and HMI are supported.

Using an Existing Project

Change the versions of the controller and HMI to the supported ones when using an existing project.
Note that the controller and HMI must exist in the same project. The Ladder Monitor cannot be used in
the case of the controller and HMI being placed on different projects.
Additional Information
The Ladder Monitor will not operate normally if the version of the controller was changed from
1.15 or lower to 1.16 or higher with Sysmac Studio version 1.23 or lower.
In such a case, use Sysmac Studio version 1.24 or higher to perform the following procedure.
1. Change the version of the controller to 1.15.
2. Save and close the project.
3. Open the project again.
4. Return the version of the controller to the original version.
