ELECTRONICS
This Procedure Includes the Following:
Installing/Removing MKIV-A Wiring Harness
Installing/Removing MKIV-RII Wiring Harness
Installing/Removing MKIV-A Joystick
Installing/Removing MKIV-RII Joystick
REMOVING/INSTALLING MKIV-A WIRING HARNESS
(FIGURE 1)
REMOVING
1. Review DETAIL “A” in FIGURE 1 and identify each connector.
2. Remove the batteries. Refer to REMOVING/INSTALLING BATTERIES in SECTION 8 of
this manual.
3. Remove the two (2) mounting screws and washers that secure the front shroud in place.
Refer to DETAIL “B” in FIGURE 1.
4. Cut the tie-wrap that secures the power take-off lead in place (DETAIL “C” in FIGURE 1).
5. Disconnect the battery wiring harness blue connector from the controller blue connector
(DETAIL “C” in FIGURE 1).
6. Disconnect the power take-off lead from the other optional power connectors (DETAIL
“C” in FIGURE 1).
7. Remove the two (2) mounting screws that secure the battery charger port to the
mounting bracket (DETAIL “C” in FIGURE 1).
8. Remove battery charger port from mounting bracket by pulling forward and feeding cable
through cutout in mounting bracket (DETAIL “C” in FIGURE 1).
9. Remove battery wiring harness from base frame by feeding power-take-off lead, blue
battery connector and battery charger port up through cutout in battery tray.
INSTALLING
1. Install battery wiring harness into base frame by feeding power-take-off lead, blue battery
connector and battery charger port down through cutout in battery tray (DETAIL “C” in
FIGURE 1).
2. Position battery charger port into mounting bracket by feeding cable up through cutout and
push backward (DETAIL “C” in FIGURE 1).
3. Secure the battery charger port to the mounting bracket with two (2) mounting screws
(DETAIL “C” in FIGURE 1). Securely tighten.
4. Connect the power take-off lead to other optional power connectors, if necessary (DE-
TAIL “C” in FIGURE 1).
5. Connect the battery wiring harness blue connector to the controller blue connector
(DETAIL “C” in FIGURE 1).
6. Secure the power take-off lead in place with NEW tie-wrap (DETAIL “C” in FIGURE 1).
7. Secure the front shroud in place with two (2) NEW mounting screws and washers (DE-
TAIL “B” in FIGURE 1).
8. Install the batteries. Refer to REMOVING/INSTALLING BATTERIES in SECTION 8 of
this manual.
