SECTION 7
REMOVING/INSTALLING TORSION BAR (FIGURE 4)
Definition: The torsion bar serves two purposes 1.) it keeps the right and left suspension
arms in alignment and 2.) provides a more defined driving performance.
REMOVING
1. Because of the tight tolerance, removing the hitch pin clip
from both ends of the torsion bar must be performed by
the following:
A. With a pair of pliers, grab the bottom of the pin and
push up.
B. With an elongated screw driver, pop the hitch pin out
by catching the top loop and prying upward.
2. Pull torsion bar forward to remove.
INSTALLING
1. Position torsion bar in base frame as shown in FIGURE 4.
2. Secure torsion bar in place with two (2) hitch pin clips.
