PROCEDURE 4
This Procedure Includes the Following:

Adjusting Armrest Height

Flip-Back Arms

Replacing Desk/Full Length Armrest Pad and or
Clothing Guards
Removing or Replacing Armrest
A

Converting From Space Saver to Conventional
Arms or Conventional to Space Saver Arms

After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BE-
FORE use, make sure all attaching hardware is
tightened securely - otherwise injury or damage
may result.
NOTE: Refer to PROCEDURE 1 - GENERAL
GUIDELINES which include GENERAL WARNINGS.
ADJUSTING THE ADJUSTABLE
HEIGHT ARMRESTS (FIGURE 1)
Make sure the height adjustment lever is in the
locked position before using the wheelchair.
1. Unlock the armrest by flipping the height adjustment
lever on the top front of the armrest to the UP (HORI-
ZONTAL) position.
2. Adjust armrest to one (1) of three (3) positions.
NOTE: Height adjustment lever MUST be in the unlocked
position when placing armrest into the arm assembly.

3. Lock the armrest by pressing the height adjustment
lever into the DOWN (VERTICAL) position when the
desired armrest height is achieved.
4. Repeat STEPS 1-3 for other armrest.
FLIP-BACK ARMS (FIGURE 2)
Make sure the armrest release lever is in the
locked position before using the wheelchair.
NOTE: The Recliner arms do not flip back.
1. Unlock the flip-back arms by rotating the front arm-
rest release lever towards the outside of the wheel-
chair.
2. Pull the front of the flip-back arm straight up/out of the
arm socket and towards the rear of the wheelchair.
3. To use the flip-back arm, push the flip-back arm to-
wards the front of the wheelchair and then downward
into the arm socket.
NOTE: Armrest release lever MUST be in the unlocked
position when placing armrest into the arm sockets.
4. Lock the flip-back arms by rotating the front armrest
release lever towards the inside of the wheelchair.

Armrest Pad (Fixed Height Arms Only)
1. Remove the mounting screws that secure the armrest
pad to the armrest assembly.
2. Replace armrest pad and securely tighten with the
existing mounting screws.
