FRONT RIGGINGS
This Procedure includes the following:
Installing/ Removing the Swingaway Footrest
Assembly

Swingaway Footrest Height Adjustment

Heel Loop Replacement
Installing/Removing the Elevating Legrest Assembly
Adjusting the Elevating Legrest Assembly
WARNING
After ANY adjustments, repair or service
and BEFORE use, make sure all attaching
hardware is tightened securely - other-
wise injury or damage may result.
NOTE: Refer to PROCEDURE 1 - GENERAL GUIDE-
LINES which include GENERAL WARNINGS .
INSTALLING/REMOVING THE
SWINGAWAY FOOTREST
ASSEMBLY (FIGURE 1)
Installing
1. Turn the swingaway footrest assembly to the side
(so that the footplate is perpendicular to wheelchair).
2. Install the hinge plates on the swingaway footrest as-
sembly onto the hinge pins on the wheelchair frame.
3. Push the swingaway footrest assembly towards the
inside of the wheelchair until it locks into place.
4. Repeat this procedure for the other footrest assembly.
NOTE: The footplates will be facing each other when
locked in place.
Removing
1. Push the footrest release lever toward rear of chair.
2. Rotate swingaway footrest assembly outward.
3. Lift the swingaway footrest assembly off of the hinge pins.

SWINGAWAY FOOTREST HEIGHT
ADJUSTMENT (FIGURE 2)
1. Remove the swingaway footrest assembly. Refer to
INSTALLING/REMOVING THE SWINGAWAY FOOT-
REST ASSEMBLY in this procedure of the manual.
NOTE: Lay the assembly on a flat surface to simplify this
procedure.
2. Remove impact guards and/or calf strap, if necessary.
3. Perform one (1) of the following:
A. Wheelchairs equipped with 80° swingaway
footrest (Model Number J932A-14):
• Loosen, but do not remove the bolt and lock
nut that secure the lower footrest assembly
to the upper footrest support.
• Reposition the lower footrest assembly to the
desired height.
• Securely tighten the bolt and locknut.
B. Wheelchairs equipped with 70° swingaway footrest
(model number J932A) OR 90° swingaway foot-
rest (Model Number J933A):
• Remove the bolt, locknut and four (4) washers
that secure the lower footrest assembly to the
upper footrest support.
• Align the mounting hole of the lower footrest
assembly with desired height adjustment hole
in the lower footrest support.
• Reinstall the bolt through the desired height
adjustment hole in the lower footrest assembly
and through the mounting hole in the lower foot-
rest support. Securely tighten with the locknut
and four (4) washers.
4. Repeat this procedure for the other footrest, if necessary.
5. Replace impact guards and/or calf strap, if necessary.
6. Reinstall the swingaway footrest assembly. Refer to IN-
STALLING/REMOVING THE SWINGAWAY FOOT-
REST ASSEMBLY in this procedure of the manual.
