Equivalent Engine Oil means engine oil
that meets the following standards.
SAE
10W-40
SM or SN
API: American Petroleum Institute
JASO: Japanese Automobile Standards
Organization
API JASO
SJ, SL, MA
(MA1, MA2)
SAE engine oil viscosity
If SAE 10W-40 engine oil is not avail-
able, select an alternative according to
the following chart.
ENGINE OIL
TEMP.
*USE ONLY SJ or SL.
Mixing oils of different makes and
grades may alter the quality of the oil
and cause a breakdown.
Do not mix oils or use low-quality oil.
