The following sections will fully discuss the detailed configuration of the
Tutorial Sample Test Network. It is recommended that the configuration is
approached in the logical steps as defined below, and expanded on, in later
paragraphs.
Step 1
Configuration of the RADIUS Server.
1.
The NAS Type configuration relates to the Hardware capabilities of the
NAS Router.
2.
NAS Units allow specific configuration parameters to be assigned and
associated with each NAS Unit, i.e. the Units IP Address.
3.
Before an Account can be configured the NAS Types and the NAS
Units must already have been defined.
4.
The "Quality Of Service" Grades are used to control the availability of
the connection.
5.
An "Account" contains parameters relating to an individual Dial-In user
or to a Remote Office LAN connected via Leased or Dial-In circuits. It
is also used to allocate the security, and to provide access restrictions by
using the already defined Quality Of Service Grades, associated with
the Account.
Step 2
Configuration of the NAS Router. (In this case a Nautica Marlin
Router)
Step 3
Configuration of the Remote Devices.
1.
Any Remote Office LAN's.
2.
Any individual Dial-In users (Roving PC Users).
