34. [Click] the OK Button to submit the Static IPX Route. The "IPXPath"
window should now be displayed.
35. To add an IPX Filter which is associated with the Account Users Path
[click] the Add Button to the right of the IPX Filters Box. This will reveal
the "IPX Net Filter" window. [Click] the IPX Filters Add Button.
36. To enter an IPX Network Filter firstly [double click] the IPX Net1 Box
and enter the required IPX network address of one of filter pair then
[double click] the IPX Net2 Box and enter the required IPX network
address of the other network of the filter pair. In this instance enter
00DADD1E for IPX Net1 and 00FE0691 for IPX Net2.
Note in the above example we are only allowing outgoing calls to be made for
data which is being sent from Network 00FE0691 to 00DADD1E.
The IPX Filters work on a "Forward on Match" principle also. Anything that
doesn't match the Address' configured in the IPX Filters Table is discarded.
Source and Destination IPX Network addresses on all packets entering the
NAS Router (on any port) destined for the remote Account User are checked
for a match before forwarding. For more information on IPX Filtering refer to
the Marlin Router Reference Manual.
37. [Click] the OK Button to submit the IPX Filter pair. The "IPXPath"
window should now be displayed.
38. To add an IPX SAP Filter which is associated with the Account Users
Path [click] the Add Button to the right of the IPX SAP Filters Box. This
will reveal the "IPX SA Filter" window. [Click] the IPX SAP Filters Add
Button.
39. To enter an IPX SAP Filter [click] the Server Name Box and enter the
required IPX SAP address. In this instance enter Accounts*.
Note in the above example by using the wildcard variable "*"we are
effectively allowing all SAPs starting with the letters "Accounts" to be passed
to the remote Account User, i.e. this is effectively restricting the outgoing IPX
SAP broadcast to those SAP starting with "Accounts".
