A Static IP Route to the RADIUS Server has now been configured. The first
packet for network 192.168.0.0/24 received by the Marlin will be
automatically sent to the RADIUS Server for Authentication. If a valid
Account profile exists, and the Grade of Service is such that an outgoing call
can be made at this particular time, and there are channels available on the
NAS Router, the RADIUS Server will send the relevant Path and Routing
information to the NAS Router. The NAS Router will then make an outgoing
call to the remote IP Network. Any subsequent packets destined for Network
192.168.0.0/24 will be routed using the Path information now held in the NAS
Router. The Path and Routing information for the remote Account User is
deleted from the NAS Router when the Inactivity Timeout value in the User
Account Profile is exceeded, or the Timeband in the Grade of Service profile
expires and either there is a gap in between the Timebands or the new
Timeband is such that no channels are available on the NAS Router for the
establishment of a Path i.e. they have been pinched by a higher priority user at
the particular time in question, or the Session Usage Limit has been exceeded,
or the Session Maximum Lifetime has been exceeded. If the Path and Routing
information to the remote network has been deleted the next packet destined
for Network 192.168.0.0/24 will be again sent to the RADIUS Server. The
RADIUS Server will then again decide if the outgoing is to be allowed or not,
as before.
43. Submit the changes by pressing Control E. The Main Menu should now
be displayed. The message "Please use the Save command" will also
appear in the middle of the fifth line up from the bottom of the screen.
44. Type SAVE<CR> at the Command Line prompt. The word SAVE will
disappear after a few seconds and the message "Please use the save
command" will also disappear.
The "Configure IP Routes Menu" should now be similar to that shown at the
top of the next page.
