There are three ways to configure the BCM50 system:

"Using Element Manager to configure the system"

"Using Telset Administration to configure the system" on page 31
"Using the Startup Profile to configure the system" on page 32
Note: You must install your keycodes to enable specific applications on your
BCM50 system. Use Element Manager or the Startup Profile to install your
keycodes. Refer to the BCM50 Keycode Installation Guide (N0016865) for more
detailed information on obtaining and installing keycodes.
Using Element Manager to configure the system
To use Element Manager to configure your BCM50 system, you must first install Element
Manager on your computer. Element Manager is located on the Nortel support web page
(www.nortel.com/support) and on the BCM50 hard drive under Administrator Applications.

Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the OAM port on the main unit, and connect the other
end to the Ethernet port on your computer.
The DHCP-enabled computer is assigned IP address 10.10.11.2. (255.255.255.252).

Open a web browser and enter the IP address 10.10.11.1 (BCM50 OAM port IP address).
