ASSEMBLY
The safety regulations to follow are described in
chap. 2. Strictly comply with these indications to avoid
serious risks or dangers.
For storage and transport purposes, some components of
the machine are not installed in the factory and have to be
assembled after unpacking. Follow the instructions below.
Unpacking and completing the assembly should
be done on a flat and stable surface, with enough spa-
ce for moving the machine and its packaging, always
making use of suitable equipment. Do not use the ma-
chine until all the indications provided in the "ASSEM-
BLY" section have been carried out.
4.1
ASSEMBLY COMPONENTS
The packaging includes assembly components.
4.1.1
Unpacking
1.
Carefully open the packaging, paying
attention not to lose components.
2.
Consult the documentation in the box,
including these instructions.
3.
Remove all the unassembled parts from the box.
4.
Dispose of the box and packaging in
compliance with local regulations.
Before assembling, make sure the safety key is
not inserted in its housing.
4.2
HANDLE ASSEMBLY
Assemble the handle as illustrated in (Fig.3).
5.
CONTROLS
5.1
SAFETY KEY (DEACTIVATION DEVICE)
The key (Fig.13.A) found inside the battery compartment
enables / disables the machine electric circuit.
Removing the key, the electric circuit is completely
deactivated to prevent uncontrolled use of the machine.
IMPORTANT Remove the safe key whenever
the machine is unused or left unattended.
5.2
HANDLE
5.2.1
Control lever
The control lever starts/stops the motor and
simultaneously engages/disengages the cutting means.
The positions indicated correspond to:
1.
Run. To start the motor, press the
safety button (Fig.5.A), pull the lever
(Fig.5.B) and wait for 2-3 seconds
for the motor to start running.
2.
Ignition of the motor simultaneously
engages the cutting means.
3.
Stop. The motor stops when the
lever (Fig.5.B) is released.
5.2.2
Drive engagement lever
This engages the wheel drive and allows
the machine to move forward.
1.
Drive engaged. Push the lever toward
the handle for forward movement
(Fig.6.A). The lawnmower stops moving
forward when the lever is released.
On some models, forward speed adjustment is
possible through the selection knob (Fig.6.B).
You can select 9 different levels of speed.
1.
Maximum speed (about 5 Km/h).
2.
Minimum speed (about 2.5 Km/h).
Every "twitch" of the selection knob (Fig.6.B)
causes a forward speed level change.
NOTE The last speed level selected
remains set after the machine shutdown.
IMPORTANT The motor must always be
running with the drive disengaged.
IMPORTANT To prevent damage to
the transmission, do not pull the machine
backwards with the drive engaged.
NOTE Drive can also be engaged at
machine switched off, with battery and
safety key inserted in their housing.
5.3
CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
Lower or raise the chassis to cut the
grass at different heights.
Do this when the cutting means is stationary.
The cutting height is adjusted by the levers (Fig.7.A).
The four wheels must be adjusted to the same height.
