an extension pipe, 25 cm (9.84 in) long minimum;
•
an rpm indicator.
Specific tooling

•
Rest the vehicle on its centre stand.
•
Warm up the engine well until it rea-
ches the temperature at which the
electric fan switches on.
•
Insert the metal extension pipe inside
the silencer paying attention to fit it
tightly.
•
Connect the exhaust fumes analyser to
the vehicle inserting the probe tightly
into the metal extension pipe by 30 cm
(11.81 in) minimum.

•
Close the secondary air passage.
•
Connect the rpm indictor to the vehicle.
•
Turn the idle set screw until the rpm in-
dicator shows 1700 +/- 100 rpm.
