Default
The authentication mode is password for the VTY line.
The authentication mode for the AUX line is as follows:
If the device starts up with the factory defaults, scheme authentication is enabled, which
requires you to use local username admin for login. After you log in, you have the
network-admin user role and must configure a password for local user admin.
If the device starts up with the initial configuration, authentication is disabled. To improve device
security, configure password or scheme authentication for console login immediately after you
log in to the device for the first time.
