Checking the fuel strainer

1. Check:
• No air leakage
Air leakage  Replace.

a. Connect the leakage tester "1" to the fuel
inlet "a".
b. Block the fuel outlet "b" using a rubber plug
"2", and then apply the specified positive
pressure. Replace the fuel strainer if the
specified pressure cannot be maintained
for 15 seconds or more.

Checking the vapor separator

1. Check:
• Needle valve
Bent/worn  Replace the float.
Vapor separator and high-pressure fuel pump
2. Check:
• Float
3. Check:
• Filter

Adjusting the float height

1. Measure:
• Float height "a"
• Float height "b"

Deteriorated  Replace.
Dirt or residue  Clean.
Out of specification  Adjust the float
height.
