ISABLE ANTI VIRUS PROGRAMS

Close all open software applications.

Disable any anti-virus programs.

Double-click the My Computer icon.
In Windows XP, click Start to access the My Computer icon.

Double-click the CD–ROM drive icon.

If necessary, double-click setup.exe.
6
Follow the instructions on the computer screen to install the software.
Note: You may enable the anti-virus programs again after the software is successfully installed.

NINSTALL AND REINSTALL SOFTWARE
Uninstall the printer software, and then reinstall it.

These are possible solutions. Try one or more of the following:

HECK MESSAGES
If an error message is displayed, see "Error messages on the computer screen" on page 122.

HECK POWER
If the light is not on, see "Power button is not lit" on page 86.
R
ELOAD PAPER
Remove and then load paper.
C
HECK INK
Check the ink levels, and install new print cartridges if necessary.

HECK CARTRIDGES

Remove the print cartridges.

Make sure the sticker and tape have been removed.
3
Reinsert the cartridges.
