at the global configuration mode prompt (

Verifying the Running Configuration Settings

You may want to verify the running configuration settings or any changes made to the
running configuration settings before they are saved. To do so, issue the show running-
config command at the privileged EXEC mode prompt.
Typical output from this command is shown in the following sections for the following
types of line cards:
Quad OC-3c/STM-1c POS
OC-12c/STM-4c POS
OC-12c/STM-4c ATM
At the global configuration mode prompt, enter the interface type slot/port
command to enter the interface configuration mode:
Router(config)# interface type slot/port
Router(config-if)#
This command accepts either POS or ATM as the type argument.
In either the global configuration mode or the interface configuration mode, you
can change the router's configuration parameters.
To exit either mode, type Ctrl-Z.
Save your configuration settings, as described in the section entitled "Saving the
Running Configuration Settings to NVRAM."
