Printer Driver Basics
The printer driver is a program that converts text or image files you have created with an
application into print data and sends that data to the printer. The printer driver processes
print data so the printer can use it.
After you connect the printer to your computer, you must install the printer driver. For
instructions on installing the printer driver, see the Quick Start Guide.
