Rest the vehicle on its stand.
NOTE
THE VEHICLE HAS A SPARK PLUG (2) FOR EACH CYLINDER. THE FOLLOWING
STEPS RELATE TO JUST ONE SPARK PLUG BUT APPLY TO BOTH.
•
Remove the tube (1) of the spark plug (2).
•
Clean off any trace of dirt from the spark plug (2) base.
•
Insert the spanner supplied in the tool kit into the hexagonal head of the spark
plug (2).
•
Unscrew the spark plug (2) and remove it from its seat, making sure no dust
or dirt gets into the cylinder.
Checking and cleaning:
CAUTION
THE ELECTRODES OF THE SPARK PLUGS INSTALLED ON THIS VEHICLE ARE
PLATINUM ELECTRODES. DO NOT USE METAL BRUSHES AND/OR ABRASIVE
PRODUCTS TO CLEAN THE SPARK PLUGS. USE ONLY A COMPRESSED AIR
JET.
