Making Printer Settings Using the Control Panel

❖ Duplex
You can specify whether or not to print on both sides of a sheet.
• Off
• Short Edge Bind
• Long Edge Bind

❒ This menu appears only when the optional duplex unit is installed.
❖ Blank Pages
You can specify whether or not to print blank pages.
• Print
• Do not print
❒ Default: Print
❖ Output Tray
Specify the output tray that is selected by priority if the output tray is not ex-
plicitly specified.
❖ Job Separation
Specify whether to perform shift for each job on the output tray (2 Tray Finish-
er) equipped with the shift function.

❖ Energy Saver 1
You can specify whether or not to switch Energy Saver 1.
• On
• Off
❒ Default: Off
❒ When the printer switches to the Energy Saver 1 mode, the machine
changes to Energy Saver 1 on completion of printing. It is not as energy
saving as Energy Saver 2, but returns to print in 30 seconds. Also, there
will be no change to the display panel.
