Chapter 3 Basic Operations — Operating with the remote control

Switching the image aspect ratio

Switch the image aspect ratio according to the input.
button
1) Press the <ASPECT> button.
f The setting will change each time you press the button.

f Refer to the [POSITION] menu → [ASPECT] (x page 90) for details.

Using the presentation timer function

The presentation timer can be operated.
The presentation can be performed while confirming the elapsed time or remaining time against the specified
time.

1) Press the <P-TIMER> button.
f Starts the count.
2) Press the <P-TIMER> button again.
f Stops the count.
Note
f The elapsed time or remaining time is displayed at the bottom right of the projected image while using the presentation timer.
f The count will restart when the <P-TIMER> button is pressed while the count is stopped.
f The presentation timer is ended when the <P-TIMER> button is pressed and held for 3 seconds or longer.
f For details such as setting of the presentation timer function, refer to the [DISPLAY OPTION] menu → [P-TIMER] (x page 110).

Using the function button

By assigning the following functions to the <FUNCTION> button, it can be used as a simplified shortcut button.
[SUB MEMORY], [SYSTEM SELECTOR], [DAYLIGHT VIEW]

1) Press the <FUNCTION> button.

f Assignment of the function is performed from the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [FUNCTION BUTTON] (x page 122).

Displaying internal test pattern

To confirm the status of the projector, ten types of internal test patterns can be displayed. To display test patterns,
perform the following steps.

1) Press the <TEST PATTERN> button.
2) Press qw to select the test pattern.
Note
f Test patterns can also be displayed using the menu operation. Refer to "[TEST PATTERN] menu" (x page 132) for details.
f Settings of position, size, and other factors will not be reflected in test patterns. Make sure to display the input signal before performing
various adjustments.
