Interference (continued)
Short range or drop-outs
Can't change settings on receiver
or transmitter
Can't change frequency setting for
a channel
Bodypack or Handheld transmitter

Possible Causes
Receiver is too close to digital
signal processor or similar device
Strong electromagnetic field from
stage lighting or other source near
the transmitter or receiver, which
may be producing RF noise at or
near the operating frequency.
RF

between the transmitter and receiver
Poorly oriented beltpack antenna
Faulty receiving antenna system
Application requires high transmit-
ter output
Lockout feature is enabled
Channel not in a user definable
group
On/Off lockout is engaged

Move the receiver to a different
location
Use ClearScan to change the oper-
ating frequency. Repair or remove
the source of interference. Move
the receiver to a different location.
Move the obstacles, or reposition
obstacles
the receiver/antennas.
Check the antenna connection and
reorient the bodypack so the anten-
na is vertical (up and down) and
facing the receiver, if possible.
Check all antenna connections and
reposition to be in line-of-sight with
the transmitter
Switch the transmitter to the high
power setting (see page 9 or 11)
Disable lockout (see page 4, 9, or 11)
Change to a user definable group
(see page 9 or 11))
Put the on/off switch in the off posi-
tion and press one of the program-
ming buttons. See Section 4, 9, or
11 for more.
