Mio SMS Locator

You can use the device to notify your friends and family of your current
position. This feature can be very important for group activities or outdoor
rescue activities. You can use Mio SMS Locator even if the navigation
program is not installed on the device.
Programs
Tap
1. Make sure that the device has a clear view
of the sky for optimal GPS signal reception.

2. Tap the soft key. The program will
activate the GPS port of the device and
search for the GPS data.
3. When the longitude and latitude
information of your current location appears
on the screen, enter the phone number of
your recipient and message text.
Send
4. Tap the soft key to send the message.
If an optional navigation program is installed on the device, you can perform
the following operations upon receiving such messages. (Note that the
available operations depend on the type and version of the navigation
program.)
Navigate Directly starts the navigation program and navigates to the
location contained in the message.
Show on Map starts the navigation program and shows on the map the
location contained in the message.
Get Address starts the navigation program and acquires the address of
the location contained in the message.
Save to POI starts the navigation program and adds the location
contained in the message to the Point-of-Interest (POI) data.
Reply replies with a text-only message or with a message that contains
the GPS data of your current location.
Delete/Delete All deletes one or all messages.
