Adjusting seat belt height (front seats only)
The seat belts height must only be adjusted when the vehicle is
stationary.
To move the belt feeder A, raise or lower the headrest adjustment
lever B.
Always adjust the height of the front seat belts so that they suit the
2
driver's and passenger's height. This precaution can reduce the risk of
injury in a collision substantially.
The correct adjustment is achieved when the belt passes about midway
between the end of the shoulder and the neck.
Using the rear seat belts
The belts for the rear seats must be worn as shown in the illustration.
Remember that, in the event of a violent impact, the
passengers on the rear seats that are not wearing the seat
belts are not only subject to personal injuries but they also
represent a danger for passengers sitting in the front seats.
When the rear seats are not occupied, place the seat belt buckles in
their respective seats.

Fastening the seat belts
After positioning the seat correctly;
• Grip the buckle C, slowly pull the belt and insert the tang into its seat
D (if the belt locks while pulling it, let it rewind a little and then pull
it again, but do not jerk it roughly).
• Make sure that it has clicked into the locked position.
• Position the seat belt correctly: the lap portion of the seat belt must
rest low on the pelvis, and lean onto the pelvic bones.
• Pay attention that the lap portion of the seat belt does not move up
into the abdomen.
• Avoid "slouching" positions, as these can bring the lap portion of the
seat belt to move up to the abdominal region.
• The upper portion of the seat belt must be adjusted so that it passes
over the shoulder, midway between the end of the shoulder and the
neck.
