Setting up a direct link

To set up a direct link, you have to follow two procedures:
• Attribute a fixed IP address to the PC,
• Switch off all proxy setting in the browser.
When setting up a link, bare in mind the following important hints:
• Always make the physical connection first,
• Depending on the PC and/or Operating System, a reboot may be necessary
in order to make the new configuration work.

Attributing a fixed IP address to the PC
1. Right-click on the Start button, then go to Network Connections.
The Network Connections window will appear.
2. Right-click on the network connection your computer is currently using,
then select Properties.
