Chapter 5–Modifying the WRS/RSX Pair
This chapter provides information on changing WRS/RSX pair settings and devices.

Replacing WRS Battery

The battery within the WRS should be replaced when its voltage drops below 3.2 Vdc.
When the battery drops below 3.2 Vdc, the following occurs:

The WRS reports a low battery condition to the RSX, which then commands bit 3 (with the least
significant bit of bit 0) in the ERROR STATUS point 99 in the TEC to 1. At the workstation, an alarm
can be set up to report WRS low battery condition using the value of TEC point 99.
You can also check battery status using the STATUS WRS command at the WRS. You should replace
the battery when:
LOW BATTERY is set to YES.
BATTERY STATUS (VOLTS) value is below 3.2.
To replace the battery, remove WRS from the base plate and install new battery. See Wireless Room
Sensor Installation Instructions for details on mounting/unmounting the WRS from the base plate.
