Installing the Weights

Carriage bolt (5/16 x 3/4 inch)

3 Front weight (48-inch, 52-inch, and 60-inch decks)
1 Front weight (72-inch decks)
Procedure
To comply with ANSI/OPEI B71.4-2012 Standard, add
weights to the machine.
CAUTION
The bagger adds a lot of weight to the rear of the
machine and may cause an unstable condition
which could result in a loss of control.

3. Notch
The following table shows what weights are used when a
bagger is installed.
48-inch machine

1. Install caster weights on the front casters with a clevis
pin and a hairpin cotter
2. Install the nut onto each tap bolt and install the tap
bolts into each weight
3. Tighten the tap bolt so it touches the frame and then
tighten the jam nut against the weight.
