9.4 Remove and install the front parking aid
warning buzzer - H22-
Removing
– Switch off the ignition and all electrical components.
Left-hand drive:
– Push the retaining tab in direction of arrow -A-, swivel out the
storage compartment -1- in direction of arrow -B- and unhook
from the mounting, arrows -C-.
– Remove light switch ⇒ Electrical system; Rep. gr. 96 ; Con‐
trols; Removing and installing rotary light switch - EX1- .
– Remove the lateral dash panel covers -1- e.g. using the dis‐
assembly wedge -3409- .
– Remove screws -2- and -3-.
– Partially pull off the bottom section of the dash panel in direc‐
tion of arrow -A-.
– Unclip bottom section of dash panel -1- and remove in direc‐
tion of arrow -B-.
– Use a small screwdriver to push the warning buzzer -2- out of
the support -arrow-.
– Disconnect plug connection -1-.
Right-hand drive:
Warning buzzer -1- is located above the fuse holder.
– Remove glove compartment and glove compartment frame
from the dash panel on the front passenger side ⇒ General
body repairs, interior; Rep. gr. 68 ; Compartments/covers;
Removing and installing glove compartment .
