6.1 Removing and installing front camera
for driver assistance system
Removing
– Switch off the ignition and all electrical components.
– Remove covers of retaining plate for the interior rear-view mir‐
ror ⇒ General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr. 68 ; Interior
mirror .
– Move camera -2- in direction of arrow -B- somewhat.
– Level off the catches -1- and simultaneously loosen the cam‐
era carefully from the mount in direction of arrow -A-.
– Unlock and pull off connector -3-.
Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order, pay attention to the
following points:
– Carry out front camera calibration for driver assistance sys‐
tems - R242- ⇒ Chassis, axles, steering; Rep. gr. 44 ; Front
camera for driver assistance systems; calibrating the front
camera for driver assistance systems .
6.2 Removing and installing heating plate
for windscreen
Removing
– Switch off the ignition and all electrical components.
– Remove front camera for driver assistance systems - R242-
⇒ "6.1 Removing and installing front camera for driver assis‐
tance system", page 161
– Press off locking lug -arrows A-, unclip plate -1- and remove
in direction of arrow -B-.
– Disconnect plug.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
