– Unscrew nuts -4- and remove bracket -1- for wiring harness.
Note
The electric cables remain connected.
– Unscrew bolts -2- and -5- and remove the starter by moving it
downwards.
Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order, pay attention to the
following points:
Caution
Risk of damaging lines, short-circuit and fire.
The cable to terminal B+ must be laid and attached so that it
does not come into contact with rotating or moving parts of the
assembly (e.g. with the shift mechanism, with rotating parts of
the assembly etc.)!

Removing
– Disconnect battery earth strap

Vehicles with air filter housing above the starter
– Remove air filter housing
⇒ Rep. gr. 23 ; Air filter; removing and installing air filter
housing Diesel engines and/or
⇒ Rep. gr. 24 ; Air filter; removing and installing air filter
housing Petrol engines.
Continued for all vehicles
– Unscrew nut -1- of the upper starter screw and remove the
cable -2-.
