ORIGINAL SETTING
This original setting is prepared as a basic operational setting for a fishing boat.
Since the best setting differs with each customer's requirement, fine adjustments
are required based on this setting in the field. Following show the purpose of
original setting, and tips for fine adjustments.

1. Each setting of the "user program" is based on the gain "4" set with gain
knob of the control panel.
2. The interference rejection is set to "2" on the original setting, however, set
to "0", when a target is moving fast or small fish school.
3. Basically the "2 AGC" is used to suppress the unwanted echo such as sea
surface reflection, bottom echo, or DSL. The setting of this 2 AGC must be
readjusted in accordance with the level of echo shown above.
4. When adjust the sensitivity at short distance, use Near AGC, Near AGC
Distance, 2 AGC, and 2 AGC distance settings. Specially, adjust the Near
AGC at first.
5. Adjust "Frequency Bearing Set" corresponding to the heading of the hull
unit.
6. The "BGC CORREC" must be set to cure the gain suppression problem
caused by the ship's propeller noise in the field. Generally, set to "0 dB"
without gain suppression problem.
7. For the detection of bottom nature, lowering the TX power is
recommendable.
8. For the detection over 2000m, select higher number of FAR TVG setting.
9. When receive the interference from other sonar, set the INT SUPPRESS
setting to "2", and then separate the frequency from the frequency of other
sonar with the FREQ SHIFT setting.
Settings for detecting the bottom nature.
Settings for detecting the bottom nature as well as the P1.
In addition, the picture is much clear than the P1.
Basically P3 is the same as settings of the P4/P5, however,
the side-lobe suppression is set to "0" in order to detect the
more week signal.
Standard setting.
The system gain (Near Gain) is increased in order, based
on the gain of the P4.
