—Replacing transmitter battery
(with smart entry and start
system)
The transmitter can be easily damaged when
replacing the battery.
NOTICE
Toyota recommends that you have your
D
Toyota dealer replace your battery to
avoid damage to the transmitter.
However, if you must replace the bat-
D
tery yourself, Toyota recommends
using a CR1632 lithium battery or
equivalent and a flathead screwdriver
to minimise the risk of damaging the
transmitter.
CAUTION
Swallowing the battery or any of its
D
components may cause injury or death.
Special care should be taken to prevent
D
anyone from swallowing the removed
transmitter battery or components.
NOTICE
Be careful not to touch the circuit, as
D
this may generate static electricity
that can damage the transmitter.
When replacing the transmitter bat-
D
tery, be careful not to lose the compo-
nents.
Replace only with the same or equiva-
D
lent type recommended by a Toyota
dealer.
Dispose of used batteries according
D
to the local laws.
