5.22 Examples of hydraulic sys-
tems with hydraulic separator
(optional)
The hydraulic separator creates a reduced
load loss zone that makes the primary cir-
cuit and secondary circuit hydraulically in-
dependent.
In this case, the flow rate that passes
through the circuits depends exclusively
on the characteristics of the flow rate of the
pumps.
Therefore by using a hydraulic separator,
the secondary circuit's flow rate is circulated
only when the relative pump is on.
When the pump for the secondary circuit
is off, there is no circulation in the corre-
sponding circuit and therefore the flow rate
pushed by the pump in the primary circuit is
by-passed through the separator.
Therefore, with a hydraulic separator it is
possible to have a production circuit with a
constant flow rate and a distribution circuit
with a variable flow rate.
