9.5 Cleaning the primary conden-
sate exchanger and the burner
Removing the burner fan unit 40 in Figure
9.6.

• Remove the front panel of the body and
turn the control panel (see "Removing the
body panels" on page 61).
• Disconnect the air suction pipe 39 (Figure
9.6).
• Disconnect the ignition/detection elec-
trode wiring.
• Unscrew the gas swivel joint J and re-
move the pipe I.
• Insert a flat screwdriver in the recess K of
the connector M and pry it downwards; at
the same time disconnect the connector
M by pulling it towards the front (Figure
9.6).
• Disconnect the fan connector N by press-
ing the plastic hook O located below the
MAINTENANCE
connector (Figure 9.6).
• Loosen the nuts L and remove the fan
burner unit 40 (Figure 9.6).
• Extract the burner casing by pulling it out-
wards.
• The silicon gasket on the front panel of
the combustion chamber Figure 9.7 and
the air/gas duct cover gasket (Figure 9.8)
must be changed if worn and, in any case,
replaced every 2 years.

• The ignition/detection electrode P in Fig-
ure 9.7 also serves as a sensor for cor-
rectly draining the condensate.
If this electrode comes into contact with
the condensate water in the combustion
chamber, the boiler goes into safety lock-
out. Replace the insulation where wet or
worn.
Remove any build-up from the
detection electrode or replace it
if damaged. In any case, it must
be replaced every 2 years.
