FX Emulation

Your laser printer offers FX emulation which enables you to use
application programs written for FX printers. To use FX emulation,
you must use SelecType to choose it; see Chapter 3 for details.
FX emulation lets you use commercial software designed for FX
printers. Simply follow the software's instructions for printing with
an FX printer.

Using FX emulation mode

This section gives you information about using FX emulation. It
describes the unique features of your printer's FX emulation, as well
as the differences between your printer's FX emulation and printing
with the FX printer itself.
Printer menus
Many application programs let you specify the type of printer
you're using by selecting a printer from a menu.
To take advantage of FX emulation, simply choose a printer from
the list below. They are listed in order of preference.
